Any nail technicians out there advice pls or beauty therpists?

Im wanting to get some acrylic nails done but Im a serious nail biter with very little nail bed, this is the only way I can grow my nails but Im too embaressed to go to a salon and get them done as Im worried they may turn me away as my nails are badly bitten. I have had acrylic before but my nails are worse since I had them applied last time. what should I do? there is some nail bed and I do wear the false nails you apply at home but they are crap. would there be any reason a nail tech wouldnt work on my nails? Iis it best to go to a salon or get a mobile nail tech to come to me? xAny nail technicians out there advice pls or beauty therpists?
If you can apply false nails then there is enough of a nail bed for your salon to do it. However, I cannot guarantee that you wont have someone that will give you a tiny telling off about biting your nails. The only reason why they might not work on your nails is if your biting had caused any infection to the nail which would only be made worse by sticking an acrylic nail over it. Be brave and go to the salon, it will be a lot cheaper than getting someone to come to you. Good luck :-)Any nail technicians out there advice pls or beauty therpists?
A good nail tech won't turn away a nail biter, they could be one of their best clients, they are the ones that need more maintenance than anyone with half decent nails, so don't be silly and go and get them done. There is obviously enough nail bed if you can apply false nails, and they can give you a slight application to make your nail bed longer, you apply a slight amount of acrylic so that they can get the nail form under and then continue in a normal way...

Go get them done just think what they will look like afterwards.
Been there... I felt as you do and sucked it up, went and had ';silk nails'; which look more realistic, and your nails will grow. Then have the salon remove the nails (they'll have to be soaked in a solution) And...Voilla! You have your own home grown nails!!! :) P.S. A tech did badger me once about biting my nails and I told her if I had the answer I wouldn't need to come to her, and I never went back to her again. Went to her competitor.
I have arcrylic nails on and have bitten my nails for years, they won't tell you off,at the end of the day you are paying their wages so they will welcome you.You have to get infills every 3-4 weeks and it can be quite expensive but they do look nice.Go on treat yourself.
good question ... may tell u later
Honey, I was a nail technician back in the day. For money a nail technician will do Fido's paws! In my reasoning I would assume that is why yu step foot in my shop in the first place. If you are so self conscious of it. Start taking care of your nails yourself for a little bit, maybe they just need to breathe anyway from you always smothering them under all of that embalming fluid and glue. There is all types of information, on how to pamper your fingernails. First of all stop biting your nails when you think about biting them just think you will be further and further away from your nail shop visit for sculptured nails. You dont have to bite your nails! Because I know I stopped. Find some other past time. You have too much time on your hands! You get it now?!! Time on your own hands. Put up a picture, reflect on that picture and imagine your hands looking like that, who knows you may be one of those people who can grow some of the longest beautiful nails and never need to get that fake stuff anyway. I'm not knocking the nails I'm just more into natural stuff. You Can Do It. Stop Biting. If you decide to go to the nail shop and that person has a problem with your little nail bed, just ask them if they have a problem? No professional should make anyone feel bad. At least this is what I was taught in cosmetology school. (Beauty School) whatever you want to refer to it as.
you may want to consider going to visit a dermatologist first and see what they have to say.
