Nails or makeup...Beauty school...HELP!!! opinions PLEASE!! 10 points to best answer :)?

i want to go to beauty school before i go to college, yes, i want to do both. But i cannot decide if i want to be a nail technichian%26lt;(sorry bout spelling) or a makeup artist. I REALLY CANNOT DECIDE. i just need opinions and advice. Which would be better? if i did makeup i could work at a makeup counter at a nice dept. store, right? Would that be better than nails, i dunno? Which one has better hours and better pay? Which would be cheaper to get a license to do?Im trying to consider which one would have more job oppurtunities and be more exciting as far as jobs while in college... this makes me think makeup, but i really have no clue!!! i could use any information and opinions from anyone that knows anything...but anyones opinion is useful.....THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)Nails or makeup...Beauty school...HELP!!! opinions PLEASE!! 10 points to best answer :)?
I have been a cosmetologist for 38 years. So I can do it all hair, skin, makeup, nails. But if you want to just do one of the two you mentioned. I would say there is more jobs for doing nails, it can be fun inter acting with other workers. Skin ie makeup you are more in quite mood one on one with client, requires more of a serious temperament. To do makeup in a store most times you do not have to have beauty school. If your in Hollywood and would do makeup for movies then there is lots of money... Most times you would work in spa type salon and not do just makeup but skin care. Then you can make some good money. wishing you the best. do you have more fun painting peoples nails or putting make up on people?





personally i would go for make up, i love it soo much.


if you go for make up you could always get a job at the make up counters at macy's or become a make up artist for a ritzy salon.


just remeber to do what you love!

I think it would be easier to find a job for nails....prob wouldn't pay as much tho but still, more jobs available.
make up def. that is really an art, not that nails arent but i would still go with make up
makeup!!! there are more ways to make people up!!
