I was in high school cosmetology for one year and nails is one of the first things we learned. My teacher taught us how to do it both ways, and how to do silk wraps and repairs. The preferred method is using the tip and acrylic though.

In beauty school are you taught to do artificial nails using a fake tip or using the forms, or both?
I know back in the day everyone used the stickered forms to make and shape an artificial nail. Within the last few years most people that I see use the fake tip that is glued to the nail, and acrylic is built up. Do people still use forms?
